After Evelyn had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands, we realized quickly that her recovery would require more support than I could provide at home. She uses a walker and has limited mobility, so even simple things like getting to the bathroom were a challenge. Initially, we paid out of pocket for a short hospital stay. Thankfully, with help from Brianna at Maple Manor and Michelle at the hospital, we were able to get insurance approval for Evelyn to receive skilled care.
We chose Maple Manor because it’s close to home—just six miles away and because we knew so many familiar faces there. From the moment she arrived, we were both reassured that we made the right choice. The therapy team, especially the two Ashleys, did an incredible job helping her regain use of her hands. Betty, one of the staff members, stood out as someone who always brought a smile to Evelyn’s face. She found joy in reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.
Evelyn especially looked forward to her therapy sessions and mealtimes, where she could spend time with other residents. It was more than just rehab—it was a meaningful connection. The staff at Maple truly cared. They went above and beyond, making her feel seen and supported every day.
Having seen other facilities where the atmosphere was cold or inattentive, Maple Manor felt refreshingly different. The people there care deeply, and it shows. That’s why we’d wholeheartedly recommend Maple to anyone needing compassionate, quality care.
